Waiter/ Waitress

The Role

• You will be the face of O Tatas: welcoming guests, taking orders and making sure every table leaves happy.
• You will deliver warm, fast, genuinely Cypriot hospitality in a busy, casual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, and present the menu.
• Explain the menu confidently, including cuts, sheftalia, pitta options and sides, and recommend and upsell where it fits.
• Take orders accurately on the POS and pass special requests to the kitchen.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, and check back on tables.
• Handle payments, splits and end-of-shift cash/card reconciliation.
• Manage takeaway and delivery orders at the counter, if applicable.
• Keep the floor, tables, condiment stations and service areas clean and stocked.
• Handle complaints calmly and escalate to the Shift/Store Manager when needed.
• Follow hygiene, allergen and service standards.
• Support opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of waiting experience. Casual dining or high-volume experience is an advantage.
• Friendly and energetic, with a natural guest focus.
• Quick and organised, and able to handle several tables at once.
• Greek is essential; English or other languages are a plus.
• Honest and reliable with cash handling.
• Available for evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• POS experience is an advantage.
