Store Manager

The Store Manager at Clock Cafe is responsible for smooth daily shop operations, maintaining brand standards, driving team performance, ensuring strict food safety and cash control, and maximizing customer satisfaction

Opening & Operations: Arrive before opening to inspect the premises, systems, and delivery devices, lead a daily 3-minute team briefing, and ensure station readiness.

Shift Leadership: Assign clear roles (barista, cashier, runner, floor, kitchen, delivery), monitor service speed and quality every 15–30 minutes, provide real-time coaching, and ensure floor leadership during peak hours.

Customer Complaints: Actively listen, apologize, resolve issues with appropriate solutions (remakes, refunds, or management escalation), and log all incidents.

Cash & POS Control: Restrict register access to authorized staff, enforce strictly zero open drawers or unauthorized discounts, and reconcile voids, returns, card totals, and register differences daily.

Inventory & Wastage: Perform daily stock checks on core items, execute spot-checks on 3–4 items daily, conduct weekly full inventory audits, track wastage using FIFO, and order based on sales forecasts.

Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure full team adherence to hygiene, uniform, handwashing, and allergen protocols, maintain accurate daily temperature logs, and keep audit-ready records.

Team Management: Build fair work schedules, track daily attendance and punctuality, train new hires using role checklists, and manage performance issues and conflicts objectively.

Maintenance & Emergency Handling: Inspect all machinery daily, log equipment faults with photos immediately, prioritize human safety during emergencies, and follow escalation paths.

Closing & Shift Handover: Complete daily closing checklists, reconcile final POS numbers and cash, secure the building/alarm, and deliver comprehensive handover reports to management.
