Barista

The Barista at Clock Cafe is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, managing food display and baking, maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards, and delivering a welcoming, fast, and consistent customer experience.

• Recipe Adherence: Strictly follows official Clock Cafe recipes without altering coffee doses, milk volume, syrup amounts, or cup sizes without manager approval.
• Quality & Calibration: Performs daily pre-service espresso machine and grinder checks, including grinding, dosing, tamping, and extraction adjustments to ensure coffee meets brand standards.
• Presentation & Temperature: Serves beverages at proper temperatures in clean cups with secure lids, clean saucers, and accurate order labeling.

• Savory & Sweet Goods: Prepares, bakes, and displays food items according to time and temperature guidelines, ensuring only fresh, high-quality items are showcased.

• Personal Hygiene: Maintains personal grooming standards, including a clean uniform, tied-back hair, clean/short nails, and no heavy perfume or jewelry that could contaminate food.

• Strict Sanitation: Follows mandatory handwashing protocols (before work, after breaks/restroom use, handling cash/phones/trash, or touching raw foods) and reports any health issues to management immediately.
• Allergen & Cross-Contamination Control: Uses separate, clean pitchers for dairy and plant-based milks. Staff must never guess allergen information and must verify orders with management if unsure.
• Stock & FIFO Practice: Monitors expiration dates and rotates stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) for milk, syrups, toppings, and open products.
