About the role

The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, and coordinating the front-of-house (FOH) team. This role serves as a key liaison between the FOH staff and management, upholding the restaurant’s high standards of service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities include supervising all FOH activities during shifts to ensure smooth service and timely table turnover, and ensuring a high level of customer service, which involves interacting with guests and efficiently addressing and resolving any complaints or concerns. The manager must also lead, train, and motivate FOH staff (servers, hosts, bussers), manage daily task distribution, and conduct pre-shift meetings. Furthermore, they are tasked with overseeing shift scheduling, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reports. Finally, they must monitor dining areas for cleanliness and ambiance, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and company policies. Qualified candidates should have proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant setting, strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on problem-solving and customer satisfaction, and the ability to multitask and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
